Endow Iowa Grants

The Iowa Council of Foundations was selected by the Iowa Department of Economic Development as the lead entity to coordinate the Endow Iowa Grant Program. The grants program provides matching funds to new and existing community foundation groups organized in, or themselves, a Qualified Community Foundations to address community needs.

Past Grant Recipients:

In 2008, the following four foundations were recipients of grant awards:

1. Dickinson County Endowment Fund (affiliated with the Minnesota Community Foundation)
2. Ida County Community Betterment Foundation (affiliated with the Siouxland Community Foundation)
3. Endow Union County (affiliated with the South Central Iowa Community Foundation)
4. Wright County Charitable Foundation (affiliated with the Greater Des Moines Community Foundation) 

In 2007, the following three foundations were recipients of grant awards:

1. Community Foundation of Greater Story County (affiliated with the Greater Des Moines Community Foundation)
2. Hardin County Community Endowment Foundation (affiliated with the Greater Des Moines Community Foundation)
3. Kossuth County Community Foundation (affiliated with the Community Foundation of Waterloo/Cedar Falls and Northeast Iowa)

In 2006, the following three foundations were recipients of grant awards:

1. Community Foundation of Louisa County (affiliated with the Community Foundation of the Great River Bend)
2. Community Foundation of Van Buren County (affiliated with the Community Foundation of the Great River Bend)
3. Madrid Community Endowment Fund (affiliated with the Greater Des Moines Community Foundation)

In 2005, the following six foundations were recipients of grant awards:

1. Clay County Community Foundation (affiliated with Siouxland Community Foundation)
2. Clayton County Community Foundation (affiliated with Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque)
3. Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine (a qualified community foundation)
4. Elma Area Community Foundation (affiliated with Community Foundation of Waterloo/Cedar Falls and Northeast Iowa)
5. Greene County Community Foundation (affiliated with the Greater Des Moines Community Foundation)
6. The Foundation for the Enhancement of Mitchell County (affiliated with the Greater Des Moines Community Foundation)
