Scholarship Fund Helps Students and Memorializes a Great Community Steward
The Grace Tubbs Memorial Scholarship fund held at the Maquoketa Area Community Foundation has been providing scholarships to Jackson County students for several years. The fund, established by her husband Ed and their family, serves as a memorial to Grace, a great community steward and a firm believer in education and life-long learning. In addition to the scholarship fund, the Tubbs family established a fund to recognize outstanding community stewards and established the Grace Tubbs Summit Award awarded each year to an individual.
