Grant Information
The Keokuk County Community Endowment Foundation is here to help our community's charitable projects and programs contribute to the quality of life in our area. One of the ways that is done is through grant-making. The KCCEF currently has one granting cycle each year.
The KCCEF accepts grant applications from charitable projects and programs impacting a wide range of needs in the community- arts and culture, health, human services, community betterment, historic preservation, etc. Proof of non-profit status or sponsorship by a city government is required, as is the use of the current year's application form, which may be downloaded from this site.
Grant applications will be reviewed by the grant committee, and projects which are selected to be funded will be presented to the full KCCEF board for approval. After the Greater Des Moines Area Community Foundation board (our parent organization) gives their approval, all applicants will be notified by mail of the decision of the board. Applicants who are approved will be invited to receive their funding at an award ceremony, where they'll have a chance to meet with others who are making a positive difference in their towns and Keokuk County.

Grant Extensions and Changes
While all granted projects are expected to be completed within one year of the award ceremony, the KCCEF board realizes that circumstances outside the control of the organization's project director do occasionally occur. When completion extensions or changes to the original granted project are necessary, KCCEF needs to be notified using Form C, Completion Delay or Change Request Form., which is supplied as a part of your grant application. The Form may also be downloaded from this site below.
